Times New Materials built an annual output of 3,000 tons of aramid paper demonstration line

Recently, Zhuzhou Times New Materials Technology Co., Ltd. led the national key R&D plan key infrastructure material technology upgrading and industrialization special project - "paper-based lightweight structural weight loss material preparation technology" project, successfully passed the mid-term inspection of the Ministry of Science and Technology.

During the inspection, the experts inspected the 3,000-ton/year aramid paper industrialization demonstration line and reviewed the interim report and relevant supporting materials. After on-site inspection, inquiry and discussion, the inspection team believes that the overall progress of the project is in line with the requirements of the task book, and the indicators have reached the mid-term assessment target, and the project has been agreed to pass the inspection.

Paper-based lightweight structural weight-reducing materials are one of the most important weight-reducing materials in the fields of aviation, aerospace and rail transportation, and belong to national strategic materials. Time New Materials is responsible for the preparation and application of high-performance paper-based composite materials , as well as the engineering application, test evaluation and promotion of high-performance aramid honeycomb composites.

The project was officially launched in July 2017. As of March 2019, the project team of the company has completed the construction of the 3,000-ton/year aramid paper industrialization demonstration line and the core tasks of aramid paper industrialization technology research. The PBO paper-based composite materials with higher temperature resistance grade and the structural absorbing/transparent paper-based composite materials used in the stealth field were studied, and the high-performance paper-based composite material forming technology was broken.

According to the project plan, this year, Times New Materials will continue to promote the demonstration application of aramid paper and honeycomb composite materials in the fields of rail transit and aerospace, completely breaking the monopoly of foreign raw materials and product technology blockade, forming a composite from aramid paper to honeycomb sandwich.
