Thermal mobility is a ubiquitous property of disperse dyes. It refers to the action of dry heat or hot and humid air during finishing high-temperature setting. Part of the dye migrates from the inside to the surface of the fiber through the fiber capillary, causing the accumulation of dye on the surface of the fiber. Redistribution, the presence of auxiliaries and their surfactants, including the remnants of the fabric, exacerbate their production.


Since this thermal migration is mainly related to the structure of the dye itself, and the disperse dyes of different structures have different thermal mobility, and the difference between them is large, so in the post-finishing high-temperature setting, especially in the use of silicone oil, When antistatic, it contains a certain amount of surfactant, and when these additives are unevenly adsorbed on the cloth surface, including the uneven pH of the cloth surface, the so-called color flower, color change, fastness, such as friction A series of problems, such as washing, staining, etc., often appear as one or several coexistence, which brings inevitable hidden dangers and harm to the quality of dyeing.


Solution:

1. Firstly, it is necessary to select disperse dyes with small thermal mobility and similarity. Because these dyes have a large molecular weight and a high affinity with polyester fibers, it is difficult to migrate from the inside to the surface. For example, LXF type, XF type, XF/SF type and MS series commonly used in the market have good heat transfer fastness.

2. The selection of color-matching dyes should use the same model or high-temperature dyes. Because different types of dyes have different heat transfer ratios, sublimation fastness is different, and high-temperature sublimation fastness is high, although the heat transfer of dyes is strong. The degree of sublimation is not consistent with the sublimation fastness, but the dye of the high temperature type dye has less sublimation under higher temperature setting, and the stability of the corresponding color light is also better.

3. The finishing process adopts a gentler process. The darker the color, the more the migration of the dye. The higher the temperature, the greater the impact on migration. In the case of ensuring the setting effect, 150°C or lower can be selected depending on the variety. The temperature. To avoid or reduce the migration of dyes, it is recommended that these varieties be fixed at a high temperature.

4. To choose the finishing softener, try to use hydrophilic silicone oil or self-emulsified block silicone oil without emulsifier, and this kind of silicone oil has good stability, color change and yellow change, and it can play a role in dye migration. Good preventive effect.

5. Strengthen the reduction and cleaning after dyeing, especially the dark color, the floating color must be fully cleaned to ensure its own fastness, and at the same time try to use acid cleaning. If you use the alkaline powder, you must neutralize it. Dyes are more sensitive to PH, and some will turn blue and purple after finishing at high temperature at pH>6, and this color change is somewhat irreversible, and even cannot be repaired.
